Simrad RA30 Series Research and development has resulted in a number of unique features that have never before been available, even on large, high seas professional radars High specification radar performance in a small package. full color high definition 7" screen combined with advanced antenna design gives superb target discrimination. You can see small and close together targets easily, making navigation safer. The Simrad RA30Series reflect the new Simrad design and styling, allowing the radars to be fully integrated into a Simrad bridge arrangement. Incorporating removable corners and concealed fittings, flush mounting of the radar is easily achieved. As with other Simrad products, these radars have tough water tight casings which allow them to be positioned in more exposed positions. A second station option enables total duplication of all the radar functions.
Fully Automatic 3 auto-settings
give optimum tuning for use in harbor, short or long range. No need for
complex adjustments to have the best performance possible. High Speed Update By using a high speed antenna rotation, the update rate of the radar image is doubled. This benefits high speed craft by increasing the target update rate and enabling the dual range function, thereby allowing early detection and tracking of high speed radar targets. This is important with the increasing speed of todays vessels at sea. Semi 3D Facility All models have
the semi 3D facility. This enables easy and instant discrimination
between weak and strong echoes for recognition of small targets and
obstacles. True Motion By connecting an electronic compass and speed log to the radar, the True Motion function can be selected. Echo Tracking This function allows you to observe the movements of other ships. The tracking duration can be selected from 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, 6 minutes and continuous. Head Up The ships heading always indicates the upward direction of the screen and lets you know the relative positions of your vessel and other ships or land North Up The north direction is always indicated on the top of the screen, allowing you to compare your ships position with a marine chart as you navigate. Course Up The ships heading in a course-up mode always indicates the upward direction of the screen as the bearing towards the selected destination. True Motion In this mode the ship is displayed as if it is moving in a marine chart while the fixed targets such as islands and coastline are fixed in position. Variable Range Marker This is a circular range marker whose size can be changed as desired. You can use the marker when you want to measure the distance of an echo from your vessel. Electronic Bearing Line A straight line marker that can be adjusted to measure the relative angle to a target. Approaching targets can be monitored to avoid a collision. |
